This illustrated book was created with watercolor and micron on mixed media paper. It's depth is formed by intricate, layered detailing bathed in color, which brings life to a larger narrative. I choose playful, whimsical illustrations because of my love for children's books. As the viewer peels back each page, a story develops. The imperfections within the watercolor and ink communicate a sense of humanity along with the exterior stitch that vertically binds the pages together.
